Despite your best efforts, quieting your mind and stopping the cycle of overthinking feels impossible. You long to feel calm and in control, but it’s getting harder to turn off the endless stream of anxious thoughts.
There was a time when you didn’t feel this anxious and on edge. In the past, when life felt overwhelming, you could find ways to relax and shift your focus away from all the “what if” scenarios. Now, it feels like there’s a constant dialogue in your head, and you’re exhausted from the thoughts replaying over and over. You recognize your tendency to overthink, but it feels impossible to stop. Your mind often spirals into worst-case scenarios, leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and unsure of how to move forward. It’s becoming harder to make decisions or take action when anxiety takes over.
You’re ready to discover how to feel less anxious and cultivate a sense of calm
Feeling Anxious and Waiting for the Other Shoe to Drop?
Others have told you that you “think too much” and that you should stop overthinking. If only it were that easy! You’re exhausted from constantly being in your head and living in fear of things beyond your control. You long to be more assertive, to express your thoughts without spiraling into shame afterward. You want to embrace change and feel confident in your decisions, moving through life with self-assurance.
Yet, there are situations you avoid because you feel awkward, uncomfortable, or out of place. You tend to steer clear of conflict, as it triggers your anxiety and makes you feel like you're rocking the boat. You’re unsure of the root cause of your anxiety, and this uncertainty leaves you feeling stuck.
You may be asking yourself, “Do I have anxiety, and how would I know?”
Recognizing the Signs of Anxiety
You might have anxiety if you experience any of the following:
Frequent feelings of nervousness or restlessness: You find it challenging to concentrate or stay calm in various situations.
Catastrophic thinking: You often envision worst-case scenarios and constantly fear that “something bad will happen.”
Perfectionistic tendencies: You set unrealistic standards for yourself and strive for flawlessness in your performance.
Excessive concern about how you are perceived: You frequently replay social interactions in your mind, second-guessing yourself and worrying about how others view you.
Panic attacks: You experience symptoms such as heart palpitations, trembling, difficulty breathing, or dizziness.
Avoidance behaviors: You steer clear of specific situations, people, or thoughts that may trigger your anxiety.
Anxiety may feel overwhelming, but relief is possible.

How to get started with anxiety therapy in New York
-
Free 15 Minute Consultation
The first step is booking a free 15-minute phone consultation to find out if you can benefit from anxiety therapy. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of what it would be like to work with me. I understand how difficult it can be to talk about your life with a stranger. I want to help you feel assured that working with me feels right for you. If I’m not the right therapist for you, I will point you in the right direction so you can get the help you need. If we are a good fit, we will schedule an initial session where I will get a clearer picture of what your needs are. Before your first appointment, I will send you intake paperwork to fill out. This will help us take care of some of the administrative items without taking away from your session.

Weekly Therapy Sessions
I generally meet with people weekly so we can build momentum in the right direction. Weekly sessions allow us to work on a deeper, more effective level and uncover what might be underneath generalized anxiety symptoms. Together, we will work towards understanding thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that might get in your way. We will work to help you build skills to reduce anxiety, cope with panic attacks, feel safe in your body, and develop mindfulness practices to help you manage anxious thoughts.
There are no expectations other than you show up and discuss your concerns at a pace that feels comfortable to you. Each session is 45 minutes and held online via a secure telehealth platform.
