Narcisa Sierra, LMHC, CIMHP
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner

Westchester, NY

Hi, I’m Narcisa,

Welcome to my practice. I am Narcisa Sierra, owner of Footsteps To Wellness. As a psychotherapist, I am passionate about helping others heal from life’s challenges and providing you with the support you need to transform your life. Therapy is a place for you to feel heard and understood and have a safe space where meaningful personal growth can occur.

I understand how challenging it can be to decide to enter therapy. It is important to me that you feel comfortable as you discuss the not-so-comfortable. I am warm, down-to-earth, and authentic with all my clients. The best therapeutic results come from building a genuine connection with someone who is deeply invested in your well-being, and I am dedicating to being that person for you.

I understand that while we may struggle with many of the same issues, we are all unique individuals.  I tailor my therapeutic approach with this in mind, so my approach is holistic, trauma-informed, and based on your individual needs.  I draw upon techniques and theories from different schools of thought to create a more personalized plan for you. This approach can include techniques from traditional talk therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS informed), and somatic interventions. Your well-being is best supported by addressing your total health - mind, body, and spirit.  Our work together will focus on treating you as a whole person, not just a collection of symptoms and diagnoses.

As a therapist, I continually enhance my knowledge and clinical skills through ongoing training. I am also committed to doing my own inner work. I understand how challenging healing work can be, and I never ask my clients to go somewhere I have not gone myself. I'm here to walk alongside you and support you through the process.

Am I the right therapist for you?

Who do I work with?

  • Individuals who are adult children of emotionally immature parents, have experienced toxic family dynamics, or struggle with the effects of childhood trauma and attachment wounds, and are seeking a safe, supportive space to process their past and heal.

  • Individuals motivated to do the deep inner work to understand what is underneath feelings of anxiety, depression, substance misuse, and self-defeating patterns.

  • Individuals who want to explore their relationship patterns and learn skills to build healthier more fulfilling connections.

  • Individuals who want to build skills to regulate their emotions, reduce trauma-related symptoms, and live a more present and meaningful life.

How I help

  • My approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and integrative. This means we use a whole-person perspective and incorporate strategies that align with your unique needs, goals, and values. I prioritize understanding you as an individual and crafting a therapeutic plan that resonates with your specific life circumstances.

  • My approach is deeply relational, grounded in curiosity, empathy, and compassion. I avoid shame-based modalities and aim to foster an environment of emotional safety and validation in exploring what brings you to the therapy room.

  • My approach focuses on helping you explore and heal attachment wounds by creating a safe, supportive space to understand how your early relationships shape your current connections. Through this process, we work together to build secure attachment patterns, foster trust, and develop healthier ways of relating to others.
