Build confidence and a more empowered sense of self
You are longing to discover your inner strength and your self-worth
Most people would view you as someone who has it all together. You are often viewed as a reliable friend, family member, and hard worker. You are very driven which has gotten you pretty far professionally and you tend to go the extra mile in everything you do.
While on the outside it appears that you have it all together, on the inside your thoughts are frequently filled with worry and you battle with the fear that you just don’t measure up. You’ve experienced a lot of accomplishing and achieving and know that you tend to set very high expectations for yourself. It’s like there’s always something just out of reach and you are always striving. You place a lot of energy and effort into showing up perfectly (even though part of you knows there’s no such thing as perfection).
You tend to seek external validation because trusting your judgment is a struggle and it helps you feel more confident. You know your self-esteem problems are affecting how you show up at work, your relationships, and how you feel about yourself.

My counseling approach for self-esteem therapy
I believe in creating emotional safety. I lead with curiosity and compassion and seek to create an atmosphere where you can freely explore your inner world. One of the hallmarks of self-esteem issues is difficulty with self-trust. There might be parts of you that feel hesitant to fully trust yourself because of earlier experiences that have led to a sense of feeling unsafe in how you show your authentic self to the world.
Our sessions will be focused with the intent to help you navigate these challenges using a collaborative approach where together, we can process, explore, and navigate your healing journey. We will work together to help you understand and appreciate your unique qualities and strengths. We will work towards helping you have an improved relationship with your emotions, and skills to regulate your emotions, so you can feel more comfortable in your own skin so you can stay in the present and be less self-conscious - not just in your head all of the time.
I utilize a holistic and integrative approach in therapy sessions because your well-being is best supported by addressing your individual needs and the state of your total health - mind, body, and spirit. My counseling approach incorporates elements of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Attachment Theory, CBT, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness. I tailor my therapeutic approach to your unique needs with a combination of therapeutic interventions to best support your growth throughout the process.
I aim to help you understand and know yourself on a deeper level so that you can heal the places inside of you where you are most hurting. My approach to healing self-esteem problems involves helping you to change the relationship that you have with yourself and helping you connect to your authentic self. I aim to help you connect to your inherent value and be able to fully sit with all of who you are.
You are looking for an authentic, relatable therapist who can help you learn how to improve your relationship with yourself.
“You’ve been criticizing yourself for years, and it hasn’t worked. Try approving of yourself and see what happens”
